Host with peace of mind
Safety, Neighbors, Legal: best practices for successful sharing.
Protect your guests
Install smoke detectors. Keep a first aid kit accessible. Clearly indicate emergency contacts and shut-off valves (water/gas).
Respect your neighbors
Your neighbors are precious. Ensure your guests respect noise rules and common areas. The Openers prohibits unauthorized parties.
The simplicity of Commodat
A genuinely free loan may qualify as a commodatum. No contribution limits the financial flow, but legal classification and applicable duties still depend on the facts and must be checked case by case.
An open network
We welcome everyone. Discrimination has no place on The Openers.
